a word about our regathering

how we plan to re-open post covid-19

As our city and county begin the process of reopening, our staff is preparing a phased reopening plan that mirrors the strategy outlined by the state and local officials.

Our first corporate gathering will be Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 10:45AM.

Please take a moment to read the safety precautions we are establishing to help keep our church family safe and healthy during this season.

Will our services continue to be streamed online?

Yes we will continue to stream our services online for those who have concerns about regathering at this time.

What should I do if I feel sick?

If you are sick or not feeling well or have trepidation about regathering, please stay home and participate in our services online. If you are at risk, please consider your health and make the right decision for you. You are welcome to join us, but we encourage you to consider waiting until July or later to rejoin the corporate gathering in person.

What time should I arrive?

The building will open 30 minutes prior to the service. This will allow us to seat you in an orderly and time sensitive manner.

What will the seating be like?

We will seat from the front doors as well as the back doors next to the office for your convenience.  All seating in the service will adhere to physical distancing guidelines. Special exceptions will be given to nuclear families who wish to sit closer together. Everyone will be guided to a seat to allow us to maximize our seating capacity. Please be patient and flexible as your seating arrangements will be different from your normal place of worship. If you have a special request regarding seating, please let one of our seating team know and they will do their best to accommodate your request.

What about kids?

At this time, families with children are asked to worship together since we will not provide Sunday activities for those ages at this time to ensure appropriate safe distancing.  These ministries will be added at a later date and we encourage you to keep watching online for our SSBC Kidz Content. No nursery will be provided at the beginning of our re-gathering. For parents of babies and preschoolers, the balcony will be reserved for you to allow you ease of access in and out of the sanctuary should you need it.

What about handouts?

We will not be passing out bulletins and ushers will provide offering plates at the doors for you to place your offering in at the end of the service.

Are there other precautions I need to know?

We ask that you not congregate within the building and save conversations until you are outside the building as the health risks are exponentially decreased when gathering outside with appropriate social distancing. For safe distancing, we ask that only 2-3 individuals enter the restroom at a time.  At the end of service, you will be dismissed by rows and asked to fellowship outside the building.
